FINANCIAL POLICY IN THE CATHEDRAL

We teach and seek to practice the Biblical method of
financing God’s work – tithing.
Tithing is giving back to God 10% (a tenth or ‘tithe’ of our income)

We
do not aim to keep large reserves in the bank: we keep a prudent reserve and
seek to be as generous as possible in supporting God’s work outside the
parish both at home and overseas
GIFT AID
-
Gift Aid has replaced the covenant system. Providing you
are a tax payer, all you need to do is sign a form, and our church can
benefit by an extra 28% of what you give at no extra cost to yourself.
