The foodbank is an ongoing project to support people from the Lisburn area whose lives have been affected by the current economic recession.
The Lighthouse, Hillhall is the venue for storing the food and for distribution. Those who are identified as needing this resource will be invited whilst collecting their groceries from Hillhall to have a cuppa, some sandwiches, biscuits and a listening ear will also be available. It is an exciting ministry which God is creating and everyone can play a part from buying one of the identified items on the flyer below such as a jar of coffee during your weekly shop, perhaps giving a donation (Helen Getgood will be delighted to receive these and pass them on) and above all else to pray for God's will to be done that he may be honoured and glorified.

Thank you to everyone for the encouraging response on 6th May when the food bank was launched in the Cathedral.   We hope to open our doors for the first time on Wednesday 13th of June between 4.30-6.30pm.  We will keep you posted about what is happening.  Please pray!!
