The next
marriage course will start on the 20th September and will run for 7 Monday
nights, in the McCammon room. Register now as places are limited
themarriagecourse[at]lisburncathedral.org or speak to Des & Judith Cairns or any
of the staff.
If you
would like to support the course with prayer, by preparing a dish for the meal
or by baby sitting (all of which are vital for its success) please get in touch.
Each week you are given the
opportunity to enjoy
a
special
candlelit
meal
together in a
relaxed atmosphere
and
listen to a
talk. Then there is
plenty of time
to
discuss
the
topic as
a couple. There
is no group
work involved at any
stage
of the
course.
It doesn't
matter if
you've
been
married
for
less than two
years
or
more than 30; the
sessions
provide
a
great
opportunity
to spend time together
as a
couple, looking
at
the
important issues
in
your
marriage.
While the course is
based on
Christian principles, couples
are
welcome with or without a
church
background. Many couples who
are
not
churchgoers
have enjoyed
and benefited
from doing
the course.
The Marriage Course is very
practical and will help equip you with
the tools to build a healthy
marriage
that
lasts a lifetime. The materials
we
use
were
developed
by Nicky
and
Sila
Lee in 1996. The Lees are on the staff
at
Holy Trinity Brompton - the London
church
that started
the
Alpha course
There is
usually
a
charge to
cover course
costs
(in the region of £60).
Des
and Judith
Cairns currently facilitate the programme. Register now by email:
themarriagecourse[at]lisburncathedral.org.
