Easter Fun from Kidzone

As we are unable to get together this Easter and are sad that we don't get to do our Easter Kids Club and special Easter Services, we thought we could get some ideas online that we could do together.

Below are some ideas for the run up to Easter and the special days of Good Friday and Easter Sunday!

Keep an eye on our Kidzone pages on Facebook to see links and ideas! Please share your creations with us too!

Happy Easter in advance and may you know the hope of Jesus as we are reminded of his death on the cross and his resurrection for us!

Jesus said, You don’t have to wait until then. I  am  the Resurrection, and I am Life Eternal. Anyone who clings to me in faith, even though he dies, will live forever. And the one who lives by believing in me will never die.
Do you believe this?
John 11:25-26

Holy Week

"Holy week" is a special week in the church calender. It is a week were we look at and reflect on the events in Jesus life in the run up to Easter. So we thought we could make our own calender.

Firstly we have to make our own calender. It's time to get creative at home, you only need nine A4 pages and come colours and whatever craft material you have. You can find the picture of the calender below in our gallery or click here for the image.

Each day of 'Holy Week' (Monday 6th - Sunday 12th April) we will post a craft idea on facebook and here. So keep your an eye on our page.

Monday 6th : Jesus enters's Jerusalem. Yesterday was Palm Sunday, we learned about Jesus entering Jerusalem on a donkey, and how people waved branches and shouted "Hosanna" which mean "saves" as Jesus had come to save us!

Please check out Sam (at Godshandiwork Puppets) for a great re telling of this story!

Have a look at the video for our craft idea: click here

Other ideas can be found on YouTube: Paper palm leaf or A Palm cross

Tuesday 7th : Today we are looking at the Story of Jesus clearing the Temple - find the story in Mark 11:12-17 and an animated story from YouTube here

Today Elaine and Faith have kindly made a video for us about this story and some lovely craft ideas you can find the video here (music by 'The Crosby's)

Wednesday 8th: Today we are looking at how Jesus taught in the Temple in Jerusalem during Passover on the week running up to his death on the cross. We hear a lot about "Passover". I thought this video by Douglas was great at explaining it!

Today Faith and Elaine give us another great craft for our calender! Click here for the video (music credit livingspringcom).
