Team update: Tuesday 6th December We are still in Bombella trying to get a well. We had hoped to finish it on Monday. - We are now on our seventh drilling attempt in this village, mud everywhere! Drill head got stuck in the hole earlier but we are determined to get the people water. Please pray for success – see picture of a pig enjoying the mud, Keith waking up for another hard day’s work, Mark on the rig and a little boy watching.

Latest update from Burkino Faso..(4 December)
We started to drill in Tiekuy (pronounced Cheque-wee) on Tuesday and completed on third attempt late on Thursday night.
On Friday afternoon we arrived in Bumbiele (Spelling still to be confirmed!) and started on our third well (particularly muddy). Hope to finish it on Monday.
On Saturday we went back to Ouagadougou for a break and Church on Sunday. Please pray for success as we start drilling again in the morning Tim, Denis and Keith

latest update from Burkino Faso.. (30th November)

Today was a huge success. We had to change drilling location in Tiekuy due to a muddy hole. At the second location in the village, we were making good progress, when a hammer fell down the well, rendering it unuseable. After speaking with the Church Pastor, whose congregation met to pray, we filled in the hole and started again five yards away - this time producing a 800 gallons per hour well at a depth of 165ft. Everyone in village (and on the team) delighted. Provided with a goat for our efforts...

Update from Friends in Action team - Tim, Denis & Keith

Three Lisburn Cathedral parishioners Denis Fullerton, Keith Forsythe and Tim Flanagan flew to Burkina Faso at the end of November to join the Friends In Action well drilling team led by Mark Collier and Tim Wilson.  After Sunday lunch with the Colliers, we headed for the Koudougou area over three hours drive away.

Hillhall Outreach & Community Harvest update

The Hillhall Outreach Team are looking forward to one of our highlights of the year - the Community Harvest in the Cathedral at 7.30pm on Friday 21st October when the speaker will be Mr Andrew Chestnutt who is a member of Flute Band Church based at Muckamore. The Cathedral musicians alongside a local Flute Band will lead our praise as we give thanks for God’s love and provision for us. Hilllhall Community Members will be involved in helping to make Harvest Displays and in singing with the Cathedral singers.
