Festive Fun at Cracking Christmas Party

On Saturday 17th December Lisburn Cathedral was transformed into a winter wonderland for our first Cracking Christmas Party.

There were several stalls with different things for both kids and adults (big kids) to get stuck in. Rev Denise Acheson taught everyone the meaning of a Christingle and helped the children make them. The puppets made an appearance with thanks to Karen Webb and Jill Hamilton (Conor Diocese Children’s project development officer) which was sure to be popular with the children. There were various crafts including, angels, a nativity story cube for younger children and marshmallow snowmen and much more. Stephen McLoughlin along woth some members of the worship team provided carols throughout the event. Lots of festive fun was also had at the Photo Booth. The event which ran from 12.30-2.30pm was a well attended with everyone getting into the festive spirit.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who came to the event and to all that helped out in planning and on the day.
